Julian Johan was born in Jakarta on August 1st 1986. Growing up in the family who loves automotives, he quickly found his passion in Offroad Car & Racing. He become a professional offroad & rally driver, stunt driver, 4x4 driving instructor, and an active brand ambassador for numerous automotive brand.

He step up into the professional immediately as he dominated the GT Radial Offroad Racing 2011, taking the 1st podium. His father, Ismail Johan, is a national rally championship driver who competes in the World Rally Championship (WRC) in the 90’s era.

Julian Johan had a great influence from his father, as he often come to spectate his father on the race track. During the high school years, he focus on his study and put aside his automotive passion for a while. After graduating from SMU Al-Izhar Pondok Labu in 2004, Julian Johan study abroad in Limkokwing University - Malaysia, taking the Multimedia Design major.

As he come back to Indonesia, Julian Johan start to get involved in the national automotive federation and contribute himself to many car community, representing the safety driving campaign & fairplay in automotive racing. At that time, he was the youngest committee in the national automotive federation of Ikatan Motor Indonesia (IMI) & Indonesia Offroad Federation (IOF).

His race career debut was held in 2006. Becoming the first podium finish for the first time encouraged Julian Johan to become a professional racer. He continue his racing career as an amateur driver from 2006 to 2010, before he started to become the professional racer in 2011.

During the amateur years, Julian Johan continue his study in London School of Public Relation, aiming for the Advertising studies. His passion in Graphics Design & Communication, really helps to boost his performance in automotive racing career. He believes that a synergy between racing skills, great personality, and a well knowledge in marketing & communication, is what he need to become a demanding and great automotive racer. It will be the Indonesia Racing scene into the next level.

Julian Johan achieved numerous award as the number 1 national offroad racing driver, special achievement award by Ministry of Sport, and Driver of the year award from Ikatan Motor Indonesia.
